About Me
Hi and welcome! So glad you're reaching out for support. I have a few quick questions for you first...
Have you ever felt like you deserve the gold medal for overthinking? Or maybe you find yourself struggling with negative self-talk. Do you feel overwhelmed and stuck but desperately want to find a way to make things better? Or maybe you are a perfectionist but more and more are finding yourself procrastinating and not getting things done and it's leading you to feel frustrated and down. If any of this hits home for you, please know you are not alone and there is a solution. You're in the right place!
I like to teach my clients about what symptoms mean and how to manage them with positive coping skills. The more you can understand about what you are experiencing, the more power you will have to make positive, lasting changes to improve your quality of life. I take pride in forging warm, supportive relationships with clients. I want you to feel as comfortable as you can to make our work in therapy as productive and enjoyable as possible. Even though therapy is often a place we talk about problems, it's also a place to share joys too. And it's not unheard of for us to have some laughs along the way.
So how can I help you ask? As an integrative therapist, I draw from different treatment approaches to tailor to each client's individual needs. I work with a wide range of symptoms and issues, including:
- Anxiety Disorder (including generalized anxiety, OCD, panic disorder, and phobia)
- Depression & Mood Disorders
- Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy
- Somatic Therapy & Mind/Body Techniques including Mindfulness & Relaxation Training
- Perfectionism, Procrastination, & Motivation
- Medical Issues
- Health Behavior Change
- Parenting Support/Guidance
- Women's Issues (including fertility and post-partum depression)
- Weight Loss and Eating Issues
- Stress Management & Distress Tolerance
My goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we cannot always change difficult situations, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. Your Mindset is key! If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging life situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals.

Together, we will work towards achieving your goals and enhancing your overall quality of life - and maybe even have a laugh here and there.
Lisa Holahan, LMHC
Licensed Mental Health Counselor
Hi, I'm Lisa! I am a warm and empathic therapist that uses a straight forward approach to improving mental health functioning. I strive to create a trusting and compassionate space where clients feel safe in sharing and deconstructing their patterns of behaviors that keep them stuck.
I like to take an integrated approach to therapy in that I pull from different theories to help clients enrich their understanding of their own functioning. Empowering clients with knowledge of why they may be utilizing maladaptive coping strategies and introducing them to new ways of coping can help them to make impactful changes in their lives.
Whether it be issues from childhood, major life decisions and transitions or simply needing help with interpersonal communication, we will work collaboratively to improve daily functioning and the quality of your relationships with yourself and others.
I also recently completed Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing therapy (EMDR) training with EMDRIA . My clients are enjoying powerful results from this therapy to work on deeply-held beliefs about traumatic experiences they have had which continue to cause disruption to their lives. Reach out to learn more about this unique therapy technique to see if you may benefit.
